would it be possible to make the volume control smaller so that more features—like Tone Control—can fit on Page 1?
It would also be great if the volume control could be movable or available in a different format. For example, instead of the large half-circle design that currently takes up nearly half the page, a more compact bar-style control (similar to the dynamic EQ, with “-” and “+” buttons on each end) might work better.
Right now, the large volume control prevents me from fitting all the essential features i need on Page 1, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the app’s “quick access” design.
I’m actually going to see what I can do about this, I’ve also heard similar requests before. It is a medium sized change though, since the arc volume control is central in the app, so it may take a couple of weeks or so.
I second this. The big volume dial looks good, but it would be more handy with +/- and a horizontal line that takes up less space and will make you able to increase or decrease smaller increments more quickly than trying to dial it in on the circle.
Also when turning up or down on the current circle my finger covers the amount indicator so I can’t see the number before letting go.
So maybe a full width slider, to allow for better precision, and an additional line with the volume level indicator and a + and - button for 0.5 stepping
The first version of this is out now, in v3.83 you can remove the Arc Volume Control from the config and add a horizontal volume control instead. I haven’t done a fine tuning control with buttons yet, still thinking about how to do the details..
Thanks for feedback. Don’t really understand the second bullet though, I mean you do want to hear the volume changing while you are sliding so you can release on the right spot right? There is also a max 15% increase limit if you accidently touch the far right end of the slider nothing will happen.
What is the use case for the limit of the receiver? Is it just to get more dynamic range out of the slider?
Thats exactly what my goal was, didnt know that was implemented already.
For the limit: I have a top volume limit, so when turning the knob the maximum is 60 (children ). But on the slider it goes to 98.5 and then jumps back to 60, as it won’t increase beyond 60 due to the limit. It would therefore be better that if a limit of 60 is set, the slider going full right should also stop at 60.
